Puppies Week 3

Well the puppies are officially 3 weeks old. They are getting so cute. They all have their eyes open and they are starting to walk around. As you can see 2 of them are turning salt and pepper, and 2 stayed black. They are so fun and the boys just love them.

Jacob holding "Bow-Wow". He named it himself.
Cute Caleb.
And they call it...puppy love. So cute.
We will be selling them in 3-4 weeks so if you want one, let us know :)

A Night At The Opera

(This video was taken at Katrina's Junior Vocal Recital at Utah State)

This is Katrina. She is my sister. I used to like her. I found out that she received all the talent genes that my parents had to offer. I didn't get any. I am very mad.

Congrats Katrina. You win.

Happy John Deere Valentines Day

We made valentines today. I bet you'll never guess who refused to make red ones. Yep...Jacob. He insisted on making John Deere valentines. He's obsessed! I'm so lucky.

Jacob with his John Deere Valentines (and cute nephew Kamren that walked into the picture :) )

Our days work-Caleb and I made all the red ones
This was also our first experience with glitter, and probably our last! Who invented glitter anyway? What a mess!

Skates and Pins

We have had a pretty fun week. Our ward had a ice-skating party. We went and spent a lot of time falling down on the ice but we had a pretty good time.
Here are our poor tired feet

Caleb knows how to ride

This it cute little Jacob. He couldn't stay on his feet so we took the skates off and just let him run around on the ice. It was pretty funny.

We also went bowling with the boys. This is one of our favorite things to do.
Caleb and Jacob
I loved the face Jacob was making so I put this one on too

Grandpa Joe and Jacob bowlingMommy helping Caleb. Once he pushed the ball off he would yell "Go Ball!!" as loud as he could until it hit the pins and then he was off running to get another ball. It was so cute.
They have a little ramp the kids put the ball on and just push it off. It was pretty cool, Caleb got 2 strikes doing this. Jacob called it the "pusher pusher"

And for the record, I totally smoked everyone-including Clay- with a whopping 136 points. I know, that's sad.

PUPPIES!

Lets start at the beginning...my little dog Jazzy went into heat the first part of December. (We didn't get her fixed because someone told us that if she had puppies she would be better tempered.) I thought she was too young to have puppies so I did everything that I could to keep my dogs apart. Over the next couple of weeks Jazzy kept getting more pregnant looking. I finally took her to the vet 2 weeks ago and after an x-ray and $50 they told me she wasn't pregnant and she was most likely having a "false pregnancy" where her body thinks she's pregnant but she really isn't. So I took their word and told everyone that made a comment about how fat Jazzy looked that she wasn't pregnant. Well last night I went to feed the dogs and I freaked out because I thought she caught a mouse and left it in her kennel. Clay went in there and informed me that she had 4 little puppies in there. So I guess vets don't know everything!

Here is one of the little puppies
Caleb and Jacob think this is the best thing ever!
Caleb thought it was so funny when it was crawling on his legs. It was so cute!

Here is the very nervous Jazzy and Jacob with the puppy.

And this is what Jacob has been doing all day. Honestly I can't keep him out of there.
This morning I took Jacob in and told him to look in Jazzy's bed.
This was our conversation:
Jacob: "Jazzy had birds! Where are the eggs?"
Me: "Those are puppies."
Jacob: " Oh. But where are the eggs? Did Jazzy eat them?"
Me: "Puppies come out of mommy dogs tummies, not eggs."
Jacob: "Oh, after they eat the eggs, right?"
Then we had a little lesson about mammals and reptiles/birds. That was my day!
(There are 3 girls and 1 boy- all black pure miniature schnauzers)
