The Great Christmas Tree Hunt

It has been the tradition on the Batty family to go and cut down a tree. RoseAnna always gets cold and tired and insists that we get the nearest tree, and it usually isn't a good choice. This year Caleb was sick so Clay and Jacob went alone and they ended up getting a really nice tree.

This year for Thanksgiving the Batty family drove from Vernal to the great land of La Verkin. We had a blast staying with uncle Ben and Auntie Marie. It was fun to see everyone and even though the drive was really, really, really, really long- it was worth it!!

Trick or Treat

Our Spooky Halloween`

Okay, I guess our halloween wasn't that spooky- but we sure had some fun. We had a halloween party and Grandma Jan and Papa Johns house. This is Jacob bobbing for apples.

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Jacob and his cousin Carter got to go to the pumpkin patch with their grandma Jan. They had so much fun playing in the maze and picking out their pumpkins.

Step Out For Diabetes

This year our family, along with the whole Barker Bunch, decided to do the walk for diabetes. It was on September 29th- which was the coldest day ever!! It was a beautiful day before and after but it rained on us the whole time!!

This is Jacob and his cousin Carter all bundled up ready for the big walk. Despite the cold weather, they had a pretty good time and were pretty happy to be together.

We made it!!! Soaking wet down to the bone and cold as ever, the Barker Bunch finishes and some of them are still smiling!!

Caleb Joe

Jacob Makes a Mess

Jacob has been a typical 2 year old. When he woke up from his nap he pulled all the wipes out of the container. It's amazing all these wipes fit into the container.


Jacob has been really interested in lotion and putting it in his hair. It's hard to see but he has about half a bottle of lotion in his hair. This happed after a nap as well. I guess I better keep better tabs on him at nap time.

Daddy's BIG Truck

As part of his new business, Clay bought a new BIG truck. Jacob loves it, especially sitting in it and driving it to Grandma and Grandpa's- as he puts it.

Scruffy Dog

This is a picture of our puppy Scruffy. Jacob and Scruffy are best friends. They play together all the time and they wrestle on the grass. Jacob hasn't run him off yet and I guess that Scruffy hasn't scared Jacob off either.

Caleb's Big Weekend

Our little Caleb had a really big weekend. He started off Saturday with a new adventure. As you can tell by the picture, the rice cereal isn't his favorite. He did pretty good but he would much rather drink his meals instead of have it spoon fed to him. Jacob was really jealous because he wanted to be in the high chair because it was his just a few months ago and now it is Caleb's. I hope this isn't a preview of things to come in regards to being jealous!! Anyway- Caleb looks so tiny in the chair and also so cute!

After the rice cereal, Caleb was so happy to be in the Jump-er-oo. He was jumping and jumping and having a great time. This toy makes a sound every time he jumps, and then all the sudden, we couldn't hear it anymore. We went in the room and he was completely asleep. It was so funny. He never gives in that easy. Not a peep, just silence! What a cutie!
